For added customisation, you can select from one of three frame colours, white, black and silver. The white cuts through the warm undertones of the image and thus can really help the whole picture stand out, but all three frames can look great in the right room.

Infrared radiation is used to great effects in remote controls and cookers. IR heaters work by emitting this radiation into the room. This radiation is absorbed by the objects they hit, agitating the molecules within and warming them up. Convection heaters, by contrast, heat air in a cycle.

Easy Installation

If you’re intimidated by the prospect of taking on a big DIY project, it’s important to note that installing IR panels is a very low effort, high impact project! Each heater should take you around 30 minutes to hang.

You don’t need to be an electrician or have loads of special tools in your drawer, all you need to get started is a drill, we supply everything else you need in the box. If you can assemble a piece of flatpack furniture or hang a painting, you’ll be able to easily covert your home to IR heating!

All you have to do is drill through the holes on the stencil provided, then insert the wall plugs into the holes. Then you insert the screws into those wall plugs. Rest the panel into the screws using the two rear mounting brackets. Then all that’s left is to plug your panel into the mains.

You can wire the panel directly into the wall if you like. This will conceal the cable from view. However, this step is entirely optional and will have no effect on the efficacy of your panel. We’d recommend consulting with a qualified electrician if you decide to take this step.

Simple Maintenance

Maintaining your IR panel throughout its impressive 30-year lifespan is a simple matter too. The Premium FIR Coating protects the surface from extreme temperatures, while internally the panel doesn’t have any moving parts. This means there’s far fewer points of potential failure, so your panel will rarely be under any stress.

You also don’t need to worry about frozen pipes, servicing bills or bleeding radiators. All you need to do to keep your panel functioning perfectly is occasionally clean the surface so it can remain dust free.

You can adjust your goal temperature as well as turn the heater on and off, no matter where you are, as long as you have a signal. You’ll also be able to set various timers through meaning you can have your heater come on automatically when it’s most convenient to you.

Keep Things Simple With A Remote

Even if your Wi-Fi signal drops out, you’ll still be able to control your heating easily thanks to the included remote control. This handy little device lets you switch your heating on and off at range, as well as adjust your goal temperature.

This remote doesn’t have the same range as the Smart Life app, but it’s a great option for easy control when you’re in the room with your panel. It’s also fantastic if you’re not glued to your phone 24/7, or if you have people or guests in your house who don’t want to go through the whole pairing process.
