The panel itself, measuring 595 x 595 x 22mm, is largely made up of the FIR Coating surface onto which the image is printed. It beams out 350W of infrared heat, reaching temperatures of up to 75-95^oC, though the panel is completely safe to touch for short periods of time.

The Safety Of Infrared Heating

Infrared panel heaters are completely safe to use. Primarily this is because infrared is an entirely naturally occurring form of heat – it is in fact the same type of heat emitted by the sun!

This is of course without the harmful UV rays!
