How It Works

You may have learned about Infrared Radiation in science class, but it can be a little tricky to realise exactly why it’s so much more efficient than traditional convection heaters. Don’t worry, we’re here to show you how it works.

Infrared Radiation is a part of the electromagnetic spectrum, same as microwaves, X-rays, and visible light. We use Infrared in a number of places besides heating, such as remote controls and cookers- but you also experience it whenever you step outside! Feel the warmth on your skin on a sunny day? That’s Infrared Radiation!

Our IR heaters will emit Infrared Radiation into the room, which gets absorbed by objects in the room. These objects then become warm. It really is that simple! This process is perfectly safe, and a much more effective way of heating than convection heaters. Convection heaters take time to work, and can be impacted by things like draughts, because they heat air instead of objects.

FIR Coating For Maximum Efficiency & Safety

Our infrared panels come with a brand new, highly advanced premium FIR Coating to help maximise the performance of your heater. It’s heat-resistant – meaning it can withstand temperatures up to 200°C without yellowing over time.

Not only that, but it will also help the carbon crystal heating element inside the panel distribute the IR waves better than ever before, thanks to a higher thermal efficiency, resulting in even more warmth in your home.

To top it all off, the coating is also far more secure than ever before, as it is fire resistant, ensuring your family and your home stay safe and warm.

Easy Installation

Thanks to the unique stencil that we include in the box, alongside the plug and play potential, installing these panels is a really simple process, one that should take no more than 30 minutes.

The stencil will let you figure out exactly where you need to drill to hang your panel. There’s no manual measuring or maths required.

All you have to do is drill through the holes on the stencil, and insert the wall plugs into the holes. Then you insert the screws into those wall plugs. Rest you panel into the screws using the two rear mounting brackets. Then all that’s left is to plug your panel into the mains. That’s really it!

If you’d like, you can have wire the heater directly into the mains- which can create a really subtle look but this an entirely optional step, and will require a professional electrician.

Even disregarding the gorgeous artwork on the cover, our panels are exceptionally gorgeous. This is thanks to their incredibly slender design. At only 22mm deep, this panel is incredibly slim when compared to a radiator, so it looks more like a painting than a heater!

Nexus panels are the next generation of personal heater, thanks to their ability to connect to your Wi-Fi. This unlocks incredible amounts of potential when it comes to controlling to your heating.

You can control your Nexus panels from anywhere in the world just by using your mobile phone, all you have to do is connect to the Smart Life app, and you’ll have complete control in your pocket.

You can adjust your goal temperature as well as turn the heater on and off, no matter where you are, as long as you have a signal. You’ll also be able to set various timers through meaning you can have your heater come on automatically when it’s most convenient to you.

Keep Things Simple With A Remote

Even if your Wi-Fi signal drops out, you’ll still be able to control your heating easily thanks to the included remote control. This handy little device lets you switch your heating on and off at range, as well as adjust your goal temperature.

This remote doesn’t have the same range as the Smart Life app, but it’s a great option for easy control when you’re in the room with your panel. It’s also fantastic if you’re not glued to your phone 24/7, or if you have people or guests in your house who don’t want to go through the whole pairing process.
